A graduate from Glasgow School of Art in the 1980s, the artist later worked, rather appropriately, for a period as Artist in Residence at Edinburgh Zoo.
Her highly decorative, amusing and beautifully observed works combine birds, animals, fruit, handbags, high-heeled shoes , teacups with witty writing commenting various aspects and foibles of her real and imagined menagerie of animal characters and her collection of props.
She exhibits regularly at a several important galleries in the UK including The Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh; Panter and Hall, London and The Richard Hagen Gallery in Worcestershire.
She is also a regular exhibitor at both the Royal Scottish Academy and The Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour of which she is a member.
